For everyone I know right now.

This is Shanell. She was a beautiful woman, full of life, intrigue, and happiness. She was a creative soul and a hard worker. Kind to the bone. I shared several classes with her in college. She always greeted me with a smile. She was a pleasant person, which I enjoyed in my life because often times I am not.
I took this photo in December of 2011. She was kind enough to share her body with me for my senior project. This was one of my favorite photos that I took for the piece.
I found out tonight that she past away last week, the result of a massive heart attack. She died at the age of 22.
This post is in honor of the memory of her. I did not know her all that well, but what I did know of her brought a light into my life. It’s true that only the good die young.
Wherever you are, Shanell, I hope that you are happy and that you know what you meant to the people around you. See you on the other side, girl.

There is just something about the night lights.
There is just something about a man with hoarse voice.
There is just something about a man with beard & messy hair.
There is just something about a man with thick eyebrows.
There is just something about a cold winter night.
There is just something about a starry skies.
There is just something. Something that makes me crazy about it.
